Hi, my name is Barry Maguire. I am a registered Chartered Architect and Certified Passive House Designer with 20 years’ experience in the private residential building sector. I offer a friendly, professional design and coordination service from our first conversation about your project through to your finished design.
Specializing in sustainable, low-carbon design solutions as a Certified Passive House designer, I have a passion for creating environmentally friendly and affordable living spaces. My design solutions offer an alternative and sustainable approach to comfortable living.
All designs include 3D modelling as standard. Starting from initial consultation sketch designs, we progress with 3D modelling with architectural renderings to fully detailed working drawing packages.
Steps for a Successful Built Project:
Curious about the steps for a successful built project, on time and on budget? An initial on site consultation is a cost effective solution. The fee for a 2 hour on-site consultation is £100 which is deducted from your final invoice when you decide to go forward with the project. We will discuss your project ideas in-depth, including site assessment, planning and Building Control applications, the general feasibility of the project and potential construction costs.

What do you love most about your job?
I love to talk about building projects of all shapes and sizes, understanding the aspirations and really getting down to the detail of what my clients want to achieve. Immersing myself within the design process, creating sketches and models and testing out all sorts of design options and trying think outside the box. The journey through the design process can be quite demanding and challenging for any client so delivering a final design that exceeds my clients expectations is very rewarding and creates immense job satisfaction.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Creative freedom, flexibility to manage my time over several projects and the opportunity to engage directly with clients.
